I have had the pleasure of installing and running Windows 8 RTM. I must say this will be a change in the game and the way windows is used. I am still getting used to jumping between metro applications, and the desktop applications. One of the annoying things I found however is jumping between the start menu, charms options and the desktop on a laptop that is not touch enabled. moving the mouse to the right corner is a bit slow and cumbersome. This caused be to look for some keyboard short cuts. The one I’ve been looking for is Windows Key (Win) + C. Happy W8ting!
Keyboard shortcuts:
-
F1 from the Desktop or Explorer, or Win + F1
from anywhere (even the Start screen) – type ‘keyboard’ brings up
